One of the rarest decanters in the world of cognac. From a limited edition of 1,888 pieces, I am offering eight bottles from my private collection — unopened, in the original Frapin leather case, available for personal viewing in Prague.
In 1888, Pierre Frapin composed a cuvée that earned his house a gold medal at the Paris World’s Fair — a medal still kept in the cellars of the family estate in Segonzac. That victory launched the worldwide reputation of one of the oldest cognac houses: the Frapin family has worked this land without interruption since 1270, for twenty generations.
Cuvée 1888 was created as a tribute to that moment. The cellar master composed it from exceptionally old eaux-de-vie exclusively from Grande Champagne — the region’s most prized appellation — with a high share of Folle Blanche, a variety that has become a rarity in Cognac today. Exactly 1,888 numbered decanters were filled. No more will ever be made.
Eight of them are now available from my private collection. The bottles are unopened, stored upright, in the dark and at a stable temperature. Each can be personally inspected before purchase.
